Welcome to the November newsletter. A number of events are now fully booked, so available Events are a bit thin on the ground. However, we are looking into some options for next year and hope to provide more details in the December/January newsletter.

Thursday 30th Jan 2025 – “SINGING IN THE RAIN” at NORWICH
Singin’ in the Rain captures the Hollywood movie transition from silent pictures to the new talkies, following film co-stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont. When Monumental Studios turns silent film, The Dueling Cavalier into the all-singing, all-dancing The Dancing Cavalier, they are faced with a problem: Lina’s shrill and squeaky voice, which might just end her career. As Kathy Selden, an aspiring actress, steps in to save the studio, she begins to fall in love, leaving Don Lockwood with difficult decisions both on and off-screen. The show features some of the best-loved comedy routines ever, plus toe-tapping dance numbers and classic musical theatre songs, including Good Mornin’, Make ‘em Laugh, Broadway Melody, and the show-stopping title number, Singin’ in the Rain. That is until he meets Lola, a drag queen whose sparkle and unsteady heels might just hold the answer to saving the struggling business. Please note: Johannes Radebe will NOT be performing in the matinee.

At the outbreak of World War One, Joey, young Albert’s beloved horse, is sold to the Cavalry and shipped to France. He’s soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary journey, serving on both sides before finding himself alone in No Man’s Land. Albert, who remained on his parents’ Devon farm, cannot forget Joey. Though still not old enough to enlist, he embarks on a treacherous mission to find his beloved horse and bring him home.
